The dome provides shelter and privacy while allowing in plenty of light.
The Watsu dome is lovingly called Hononanea, which is the Hawaiian word for "a time for rest and relaxation." The full-size above-ground pool is kept at body temperature (96-98 degrees), which is perfect for releasing tension in the body and mind. It is sanitized with a salt-water system, facilitating buoyancy of your body and significantly reducing the impacts of chemicals. The pool is housed and sheltered within a Geodesic dome that allows a pleasant ambient light and even has windows that look out over the garden. The mathematics behind the Sacred geometric structures of domes are significantly beneficial to meditation because the shapes generate a point of singularity at the center where all energetic waves cancel out to create stillness.
The massage space is warm, comfortable and welcoming.
The massage room is beautifully decorated, and equipped with many types of heat for your comfort. Sheila uses hot stones, hot packs, a table warmer and hot towels throughout the session to enhance the massage and aid your muscles in relaxation. She has a state of the art body-support system she can place on the table for those who are normally uncomfortable laying on a flat table, want to lay in the sidelying position, or are pregnant or breast feeding. The face cradle is made from memory foam, making it as comfortable as possible.
Relax in the Tub under the shelter of a centuries-old sequoia.
The hot tub is situated just outside the massage room, underneath the big Sequoia tree. It is kept around 104 degrees and is sanitized with Bromine instead of Chlorine. A soak in the tub is included in all water sessions and can be added to your massage session.
