Sheila's Practice:

Sheila became interested in becoming a massage therapist after receiving massage to relieve her own chronic low back pain. She was able to see first hand how beneficial bodywork can be and wanted to help others along their path of healing. After attending the Oregon School of Massage and becoming licensed in 1995, she went on to work in a variety of settings, including Chiropractic offices, retreat centers and her own private practice.

Continuing Education:

Her quest for more knowledge and expertise has led her into many continuing education workshops such as Onsen, pregnancy massage and doula certification, traditional floor and table Thai, and Watsu, totaling over 1000 hours of education.

A Guide in Wellness:

Her knowledge and work has been further deepened by becoming an instructor of massage in 2001. She has taught all levels of massage training and at several schools in the Portland area. She finds deep meaning and connection from both teaching and performing massage and is currently offering private mentorship & classes, and bodywork sessions at the Urban Haven facility.
